With more than 18 years of senior executive search experience, Mike Wellman combines astute executive assessment skills with unique business insight to deliver candidates who truly make the difference for his clients and their business pursuits. Mr. Wellman began his history as a senior retained executive search professional after several years as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. More recently, he served as Chief Talent Officer for Comstellar Technologies, a private equity investor and incubator, where he built management teams for early-stage companies. Mr. Wellman founded and oversees Jefferson Partners, LLC.

With a portfolio of search engagements well populated by CEO, Board director and CFO projects, Mr. Wellman enjoys tackling the unusual and atypical executive search assignment. He has recruited senior managers, including entire commercial teams, for an extraordinary range of organizations - from the largest Fortune 100 companies to early-stage, venture-backed start-ups. His client industries include advanced technology, telecommunications, consumer markets, industrial, natural resources, financial services and professional services.

Earlier, Mr. Wellman was Board Director and President, Global Specialty Practices & Major Account Relationships for Korn/Ferry International. In this role, he led global specialty search practices that helped the largest firm reach record search revenue exceeding $650 million. Mr. Wellman also served as Managing Director of K/FI's Northeast region and its New York flagship office. Mr. Wellman received his MBA and BSc in Commerce, with distinction, from the University of Virginia.
